Who created the Transformers in the animated series?

Was it the Quintessons or Primus?





I am confused,since Primus is know to create the original 13 transformers,but somehow the Quintessons were the ones to make the machines.





Then,later the Autobots were the ones to be able to transport which help them to defeat the Decepticons in their first war.|||try wikipedia
