Was Metroplex still alive when Fortress Maxximus was during the 4th Season of Transformers the cartoon?

Both of them were like defense battle stations. I was just wondering if any Die Hard Transformers fans from the 1980s cartoon knew this or not. I have Seasons 1, Seasons 3 and Seasons 4. I don't have Season 2 I used to have it though.|||Yes, he was still alive as Autobot City, but Fortress Maximus was the new Autobot base so promoting him was more important than bringing back Metroplex in season 4
