If transformers can hide as human why do they hide as cars?

In the new transformers, one robot is disguised as a human. I thought the point of them looking like cars is to hide among humans. Why wouldn't they just all do that?|||In the japanese Transformers cartoon(aired in the 80's) there a couple of transformers who could turn into humans. Only the Pretender transformers can turn into something with humanoid tissue.





Pretenders are Transformers fitted with special external armor shells that can disguise their very nature as robots. Rather than hiding themselves as the machinery or vehicles of a world, Pretender Shells can allow a robot to take on the appearance of a native lifeform itself.


Metalhawk, Lander, Diver, Phoenix, were autobots who had human shells. Heres a link:

So if their disguised as cars with tinted windows.. whos to know if they are robots.......well actually....wow no their aliens.... but yeah thats probably the reason why|||in the real transformers there was never any human robots, the movie messed up on that so just ignor it

movie messed up|||No no no! They can't hide as a human. But they CAN project an image of a human looking like someone is driving them, but they do hide only hide by vehicles. Hope this helps!|||My fiance has followed The Transformers for 20 years and this is the first time he has heard of transformer transforming into a human.|||cuz cars are cooler than humans humans are week and cars are powerful|||Because it was a Michael Bay film, and Michael Bay needs to use things that will explode.|||Because children won't play with robots that turn into humans.
