My 8 year old brother likes Transformers, but I'm not sure it's appropriate. What's your vote?|||It's got multiple scenes of dogs humping and one robot doing the same, a scene I can only describe as Cybertronian tentacle-tongue porn (and that's not counting what happens to the satellite), and when I went to see it, Megan Fox's introductory shot caused some kid two rows down to spontaneously go through forced puberty, if the strangled yelp was any indication.
On the other hand, it's less stupidly embarrasing than the first one, although apparently there's been some controversy over two of the newer robot characters being perceived as racial stereotypes. It didn't register as such with me, but then again I'm one of the 95% of the world's population which isn't American, and it seems like Americans are the only ones who seeing this. I guess your mileage may vary depending on your background.
If you're really not sure, the best way to find out is to go see it yourself and then make the call about whether it's suitable for your brother. If he knows not to repeat what he sees on TV then it should be okay. I took a 10 year old.
Nevertheless, great movie|||They was a bunch of sexual references, racist slurs and stereotypes, and lots of violence(like robots decapitating each other and pulling each other apart), dogs mating, and a small transformer humping Megan Fox's leg. So this movie is not for kids but if he REALLY wants to see it, might as well take him
