If you could have a transformers robot of your own what would it be?

The director Michael Bay did a really good job putting the film together, he got the colors and the cars for each Autobot correct and same with the Decepticons.
I think the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be just as good.
To take a cartoon that was widely watched by people in the 80s and make it into a movie takes skill. Many people that grew up watching Transformers (including myself) said that Michael Bay did the cartoon Justice|||Yes, I do believe that the first Transformers movie was 'excellently made', as you put it. The special effects were stunning, and they had just enough humor in it to where you were laughing in almost every scene (well, I did, lol). The designs for the TFs were incredible, and the Director was able to create a connection with the audience and the TFs (ex: Bumblebee, Jazz, etc...).
And for the second Transformers movie? I not exactly sure. Usually second movies aren't as good as the first, and you always end up asking, "Why the hell did they make a second one?"
I really like the idea that they'll have The Fallen in the movie (which'll make things interesting, imo). But they're some how going to mix an Egypt setting into the plot. Which completely throws me off - Sure, they have The Fallen (which is a god-like TF), but I mean... Egypt? I'm very interested in seeing how Bay is going to pull off the movie. So in a sense, I think it'll be somewhat good. I'm curious, and that leads me to think it'll be a decent movie.|||I didn't like the first movie because it was a disappointment to my childhood memories of Transformers. It played out like one big car commercial, like all they cared about were special effects, and I found some of the fight sequences to be extremely hard to follow.

If transformers can hide as human why do they hide as cars?
In the new transformers, one robot is disguised as a human. I thought the point of them looking like cars is to hide among humans. Why wouldn't they just all do that?|||In the japanese Transformers cartoon(aired in the 80's) there a couple of transformers who could turn into humans. Only the Pretender transformers can turn into something with humanoid tissue.
Pretenders are Transformers fitted with special external armor shells that can disguise their very nature as robots. Rather than hiding themselves as the machinery or vehicles of a world, Pretender Shells can allow a robot to take on the appearance of a native lifeform itself.
Metalhawk, Lander, Diver, Phoenix, were autobots who had human shells. Heres a link:

In transformers 2, what happened to rthe big wheel robot at the start?
i saw it last night, i cant remember what happened to the big robot tht was hising behind the crates at the beginning of transformers 2. he was huge with 2 wheels on his body. what happened to him and how did he die?|||At first, Iron Hide and some military guys (along with two helicopters) fire on Demolisher (the big wheeled robot). He then runs rampant through Shanghai, at which point Prime intercepts him, jumps on him and blasts him in the head a few times, saying "Pull over!" in a kinda cheesy way. Iron Hide shoots at Demolisher's wheels, causing him to crash. Then Prime shoots him in the head after Demolisher mentions the rising of the Fallen.|||Optimus shot him in the face when he fell off a bridge and then he tells them this is not there planet to rule and the fallen shall rise again. I was really suprised he talked.|||he died optimus the awsomess killed him!! :P|||optimus prime and iron hide killed him|||optimus prime jumped on top of him and ripped hi face out and thats how he died|||optimus prime chased him down and shot it in the face with his canon!|||ONE MAN ... ALONE....BETRAYED - BY THE COUNTRY HE LOVES, NOW THEIR LAST HOPE IN THEIR HOUR OF NEED

You'll see that the Transformers' history on Earth doesn't simply start in present-day, but go back as far as ancient times of the caveman. The incident of the Mars Lunar lander years ago comes into play, and the first movie will talk about the reasoning behind the construction of Hoover Dam. As the third movie will depict, which is not a spoiler because it's in the trailer, the reason for the moon landing was because NASA discovered a ship landed there.

Do You think Transformers Dark Of The Moon Movie will pass the 1 billion dollar mark?
It already grossed nearly 890 million and surpassed Transformers 1(708million) and Transformers 2 (840million). So do you think it will join the 1billion group with Avatar, Dark Knight and etc ? lol|||Yes...just barely. It just came out in China and that is at least $60-70 million. That should be enough of a boost to get it there.|||I hope not cuz that movie was crap (except for the visual effects). It doesn't even belong in the same category as the first 2 movies. First mistake was putting a slutty supermodel in the pic. If they were gonna take out Megan Fox then they should of just left out the "girlfriend" role all together. Transformers 2 what software / program were used to edit the movie's visual effects in transformers?
In Transformers 2 what software / programs were used to edit the movie's special and or visual effects in transformers such as adding the robots in and everything like that.|||As far as I understand, they either used Autodesk Maya or Autodesk 3d (and the texture is added through photoshop - that i'm sure of, because I've done it once), as they as the industrial standard software, and a lot of youtubers use those to make their animations (be it movie-style, or G1). Then, I think they do stuff using some software by Adobe (I can't recall the name of the software though).|||I guess they use some more advanced software than the commercial and free softwares. I don't think they use Adobe or something common to the people.

I have always loved Transformers, and I am a huge fan but I've also wondered if Primus and Unicron have the same meaning as God and Satan. Their relationship reminded me of the gods of Mount Olympus in Greek mythology days. Anyway, Primus would be considered by the Transformers as God since he was the one who created them. Can ferrofluids be used in transformers during geomagnetic storms to stop them from overheating?
Since ferrofluids are used in loudspeakers to remove heat from the voice coil, is the same possible in the coils of transformers when they get heated up in geomagnetic storms? In a geomagnetic storm, wouldn't they be exposed to an external magnetic field that would lead to some sort of heat transfer.

Transformers 2 BluRay changes from widescreen to fullscreen randomly?
I just bought Transformers 2 on BluRay last night and for some reason it randomly changes from widescreen to fullscreen constantly throughout the movie. It changes like 15 times throughout the movie and it really bothers me. Is there any reason for this? Can I make it so that it just plays in fullscreen?|||Return the disk, because there's probably a glitch in it.|||I think ur Bluray might contain Glithes

Transformers - do I have to watch the 1st one to understand the 2nd one?
I haven't seen Transformers 1, and I'm going to see Transformers 2 tonight. Should I rent Transformers 1 today from the video store so that I understand Transformers 2, or does it not make a difference? Thanks!|||i don't think it makes a ton of difference, i saw it las t night and don't remember much about the first. there is a character that was in it from the first one that i dont remember, but they do a good job of explaining his history. im sure there are a couple things that you need to no but u'll probably catch on, though i do suggest watching the first one anyways|||You definitely should. Sure its not rocket science or anything, but you'll enjoy the movie more and sort of see of how everything came to be, along with been able to understand the little innuendos and jokes that tie into the story from Part 1.|||I dont think it will make much difference. Basically in Transformers 1, the robots came to earth and fought and SETTLED their conflict and the war is over. Im guessing in Transformers 2, they just decide to come back and fight again.. So, wont be much difference :)|||I think that you would enjoy it more, if you saw the first one, so you have an idea of who the characters are. The plot isn't hard to follow, but it helps to see the first one.

I saw Harry Potter 6 in 3d, and most of it wasn't actually 3d, maybe only 20 minutes of it. How much of Transformers 3 is actually shot in 3d?|||Actually, the entire movie is filmed, or processed in 3D. But you might only notice it during parts of the film where there are things closer to the foreground, where the movement and "3D space" is easily noticeable.

Did you think Transformers 2 was a good movie?
I heard that Transformers got bad reviews but I normally don't trust the reviews so what did everyone else think of the movie!|||The problem with critics is that they look at every movie and basically compare to their favorite ones. the one's that don't stack up don't do as well....also, they look at every movie as needing to have a moral lesson or something. they don't watch movies for entertainment, they watch it for education basically. if it doesn't teach you how to better your life, then they say its a bad movie.
The transformers 2 movie was freaking awesome and don't ever believe critics. i usually end up disagreeing with them anyway and the only thing that we have ever agreed on was the fact that heath ledger as the joker in dark knight was really gud....and that's not good (for the critics).

Mikaela has it in her backpack the whole time. It brought his kitchen appliances to life, why can't it do the same for Optimus?
3. Speaking of Megatron's rebirth, when the Decepticons venture deep into the ocean to revive him, the Navy crew tracking them reads five contacts. When they get down there, they tear apart one of the robots for parts to rebuild Megatron. Then as they rise to the surface, the same Navy guys say they spot six contacts. Huh?
4. Why does the little robot that went to operate on Sam need glasses? HE'S A FREAKIN ROBOT!!!
5. Apparently, Transformers can look like people now. How? And how is it that even though the robo-girl (Isabel Lucas) is made of metal, she can still straddle Sam without crushing him. And if Bumblebee knows something's wrong with her, why does he spit antifreeze at her instead of telling Sam? Yes, his voicebox is broken, but wasn't it fixed at the end of the last movie?
6. The Fallen is the last of the Primes, since they all sacrificed themselves to stop him from destroying the sun. But then he says that Optimus is a descendant of the Primes. First, Transformers have kids? And second, how could he descend from them if they were all dead? And if the Fallen could only be destroyed by a Prime, why didn't the originals just gang up on him back in the day? And what makes Optimus so special, anyway? Megatron beat him earlier, but all it takes is a few spare parts from creaky old Jetfire for him to take out the Fallen?
7. Sam, Mikaela, and Simmons (John Turturro) go to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. to find Jetfire. Then they walk out the back onto a wide open field with old planes and mountains in the distance. When did the National Mall start to look so much like to Tucson, AZ (where they really filmed that scene)?
8. The geography is just as bad when they go to Egypt. The stone city of Petra in Jordan is over 250 miles away, over mountainous terrain, with few paved roads and the Israeli border between them, so how can they drive from one to the other in a couple of hours. And the Pyramids are said to be shooting distance from the Mediterranean, but they are actually well over 80 miles inland. Even if the Navy ship had a secret rail gun, and even if the captain would take an order to fire from a former agent of a government branch that no longer exists (over a walkie-talkie that inexplicably starts working again), how could it hit a moving target from that distance?
9. Sam briefly dies and goes to Robot Heaven. Robot Heaven?!?!
10. Where does Sam's bandage come from? What about his extra sock? Why does Sam's roommate not contribute anything at all? What was the Fallen doing for those thousands of years Megatron was frozen in ice? How does one satellite receive transmissions from everywhere on the planet? Why does Wheelie hump Mikaela's leg? Why do we have to see John Turturro's thong? Why are robots who join together to become Devastator also seen fighting the Army at the same time? Why does the government want only our military fighting Decepticons when our weapons seem unable to make so much as a dent on any of them? Why did the ancient Egyptians build a pyramid around the sun-destroying machines instead of just breaking it? Why is the Matrix of Leadership bigger in the Fallen's hand than in Sam's? And how do Mikaela's pants stay so clean?

i want to customize some transformers figures but i dont know what kinds of paints im supposed to use. i need brands and such. i also need to know where i can get them. i live in CO, colorado springs. and what kinds of brushes do i use?|||Acrylic paints I've heard work best for the die cast metal ones. For the plastic ones you might just want to go with any standard model paint. As for brushes, you'll probably want to use smaller brushes for the finer detailing and larger brushes for pieces you're doing in solid color.

Did anyone like the new transformers trailer that was released April 28th?
Did anyone like the new transformers dark of the moon trailer that came out last Thursday? How to replace 2 electrical transformers with one?
I have 2 electrical transformers at 12volt, 500mah. If i want to replace the 2 transformers with one, would it need to have an output of 12volts 1000mah (1 amp)?

You will have to modified the circuit or wire it in parallel to ac hive the amperage. With 4 kids it costs a fortune to see 3d films, so is Transformers worth the money, or just stick to 2d? A 240-110 stepdown transformer is used with quite a lot of equipement in my home and I have recently become a bit concerned about the effects that they have on the equipement.
Thanks to some web page I stumbled across saying that transformers can 'overheat' your equipement etc.
And since most transformers aren't made by any big name brands, there really isn't a way to tell if the one in posession is a 'high quality' one or not.
So my question is, do transformers actually damage your equipement?
Anyone have expertise in this area?

There is a small possibility that you might get a little bit of humming and line noise from the transformer's windings, and if you're concerned about that, such as with audio equipment or computers, you can use a line conditioner to filter out the noise.
I'm not sure what kind of equipment you mean. If you mean equipment that uses large motors or other inductance devices with a low power factor, I have heard that it can cause bucking...but really this is more of a danger to the transformer than the equipment.

How do you beat Megatron in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen for PS2?
I am playing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for PS2 right now and I can't beat Megatron.
My current strategy is:
Block at beginning, when Megatron finally calms down, use Uppercutter atttacks until his bodygaurd comes out.
I can only get past the first time his bodygaurd comes out, then he immediately kills me.|||You totally right, but Megatron is a very hard boss. You need to do some light or heavy attack but don't forgget to block too and away from Megatron. So the bodyguards (the Drone) come, destroy him but becareful to not lost lives. Megatron will fight again but the important thing is: block.

Which title did you use for Transformers 2 DVD in Handbrake?
Does anyone know what title number to use for the Transformers 2 DVD when encoding it to MP4 MPEG-4 format? I used the title that Handbrake originally had it on when it first popped up, but the chapters are all messed up.|||I just started going through the DVD and I've never seen anything like this. I've burned 100's of our dvd's and this one is crazy. Kinda scary to think this might be the future of movies. So far I've scanned just the last two chapters of 8 listings and they all seem to have chunks of the movie missing. So far I have not found one that has the last 10 minutes of the film. I am starting from the top and working my way down. hopefully one of these works.|||I bought the 2-disc set and title 51 seems to have worked for me. 47 didn't work

My 8 year old brother likes Transformers, but I'm not sure it's appropriate. What's your vote?|||It's got multiple scenes of dogs humping and one robot doing the same, a scene I can only describe as Cybertronian tentacle-tongue porn (and that's not counting what happens to the satellite), and when I went to see it, Megan Fox's introductory shot caused some kid two rows down to spontaneously go through forced puberty, if the strangled yelp was any indication.
On the other hand, it's less stupidly embarrasing than the first one, although apparently there's been some controversy over two of the newer robot characters being perceived as racial stereotypes. I guess your mileage may vary depending on your background.

Transformers is great and I like Shia Labeouf, he is a great actor and had really proved himself with the movies he has done. I loved Eagle Eye, Disturbia, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Also Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps looks pretty good. I don't know if he will have more friends but I do know that he will meet someone new for his girlfriend since Megan Fox won't be in it. Parallelling transformers with different turn ratio and rating?
I got stuck in a problem while solving the previous exam question for my course...
Two transformers with unequal turn ratio and unequal ratings are connected in parallel and have the same secondary voltage. How will the load be distributed between them? Hence find the circulating current.
I know how to find the circulating current when the secondary voltages are different. But how can there be a circulating current if the secondary voltage is same?
And I know about the load distribution being inversely proportional to the line impedance of the transformers, but what will be the change taking circulating current into account?|||Think of it this way - the two transformers are connected in parallel on the primary. They have different turns ratios. As a consequence, they want to produce different open circuit secondary voltages. But the fact that they are also connected in parallel on the secondary means that the secondary voltages must be the same.
So what happens is that the DIFFERENCE between the open circuit secondary voltages is the voltage that drives the circulating current between the transformers.
You didn't mention the impedances of the transformers. If you have transformers with equal nameplate impedances but different ratings in parallel, load will split between them in proportion to their respective ratings. Except for losses, the circulating current is reactive and not 'load'.|||If I understand this correctly, then you have this situation,
let T1 be the first transformer and T2 the second one
The input voltage is connected to the primary of T1
The secondary of T1 is connected to the primary of T2
the secondary of T2 is connected to the load
If the secondaries are at the same voltage then
T1 secondary voltage = T1 primary voltage = T2 secondary voltage.
This can only happen if the turns ratio of T2 is 1:1, i.e it has the same number of turns on the primary and the secondary.

From an application engineers point of view , to analyse the problem, the following needs to be checked first
1) Open circuit Voltage of both the TRXs
2) Internal impedences of TRXs
3) Total Load to be catered to ( converted to in terms of Z)

If you have transformers with equal nameplate impedances but different ratings in parallel, load will split between them in proportion to their respective ratings. Except for losses, the circulating current is reactive and not 'load'.|||If I understand this correctly, then you have this situation,
let T1 be the first transformer and T2 the second one
The input voltage is connected to the primary of T1
The secondary of T1 is connected to the primary of T2
the secondary of T2 is connected to the load
If the secondaries are at the same voltage then
T1 secondary voltage = T1 primary voltage = T2 secondary voltage.
This can only happen if the turns ratio of T2 is 1:1, i.e it has the same number of turns on the primary and the secondary.
Does that help?|||To me it is a typical circuit analysis problem.
From an application engineers point of view , to analyse the problem, the following needs to be checked first
1) Open circuit Voltage of both the TRXs
2) Internal impedences of TRXs
3) Total Load to be catered to ( converted to in terms of Z)
4) Ratings of the TRXs ( Rather allowable current that can be drawn from each TRXs)
Having known first three quantities , we can make the parallel circuts and calculate the current in each branch ( through TRX1, TRX2, and the load) andtheir directions
The fourth quantity will tell us if loading is within limit or not.

I think it will Captain Lennox or Epps. I hope it's not Sam or Mikaela because i think there a big part of the film series. And Shia labeouf said someone has to die in a third transformers movie.
